OIHCD Strategic Planning Continues, By Tom Eversole / August 24, 2022
At its August 23 meeting, the OIHCD Board received an update on new needs assessment data. Ms. Jody Carona of Health Facilities Planning and Design summarized findings from focus groups (listening sessions) designed for Spanish speakers and individuals with children. Four more interviews scheduled for next week will conclude this year’s data collection. PowerPoint slides of these and previous findings are posted on the District’s website at Strategic Planning – Orcas Island Health Care District
The District is grateful to residents who have helped inform the 2022 OI Health Care Needs Assessment. The Commissioners would like to extend special thanks to businesses and agencies for their support and especially to the OI Food Bank, Orcas Community Resource Center, and OICF for making the focus groups a success. Thank you, everyone!
